KUALA LUMPUR, 19 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Education (MOE), in collaboration with Gabungan Persatuan Penulis Nasional Malaysia (GAPENA) and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP), concluded the second National Secondary Schools Independence Poetry Declamation Competition 2026, reinforcing efforts to instil patriotism among the younger generation.
The closing ceremony and prize presentation were officiated by Director-General of Education Datuk Dr. Mohd Azam Ahmad.
The competition serves as a platform to discover and nurture young poetry declaimers while strengthening students’ appreciation of patriotism, national identity and love for the country in line with the aspirations of Malaysia’s education system.
