JEMPOL, 26 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Education (KPM) has marked the start of construction of the new Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) Jempol in Negeri Sembilan, which will include accommodation for up to 750 students.
Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek officiated the groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, accompanied by KPM Secretary-General Dato’ Wan Hashim bin Wan Rahim.
The new school will feature 25 classrooms, academic and administrative blocks, a canteen, surau, hall and specialised rooms.
Residential facilities will also be provided for 750 students, comprising accommodation for 375 male and 375 female students.

Fadhlina expressed hope that SMKA Jempol would develop into an educational institution that promotes a strong culture of learning, strengthens religious foundations and nurtures students who are broad-minded and able to practise positive values in their daily lives.
Separate reports on the groundbreaking ceremony said the school is being developed on a 14.22-hectare site under the 12th Malaysia Plan, with construction estimated at RM98 million over three years.
