NRES Reviews Progress of Ministry Development Projects

PUTRAJAYA, 18 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) has reviewed the progress of its development projects and programmes to ensure timely implementation and effective coordination across its agencies.

The Ministry’s Development Action Committee (JTPK) Meeting No. 5/2026 was chaired by NRES secretary-general Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin at the ministry’s headquarters today.

According to a Facebook post by Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam (NRES), the meeting focused on assessing the current performance of development projects, including their physical and financial implementation status, as well as addressing issues requiring immediate follow-up and coordination.

The ministry said the discussions aimed to ensure all projects are implemented smoothly and in accordance with established timelines, scopes and targets.

Also present were Deputy Secretary-General (Natural Resources) Datuk Mas Rizal Mohd Hilmi, Senior Undersecretary (Management) Mohd Azman Mohd Ariffin, representatives from the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM), the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the Public Works Department (JKR), the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS), as well as senior officials from NRES and its agencies.

NRES reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening project governance and enhancing inter-agency coordination to ensure the successful delivery of development initiatives that support environmental sustainability and national well-being. – The Capital Post
