NSRC Strengthens Multi-Agency Efforts to Combat Scams

CYBERJAYA, July 24, 2026 (The Capital Post) – The National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) convened its Top Management Meeting (MPT NSRC) No. 1/2026 to discuss strategic priorities and strengthen inter-agency collaboration in tackling online scams and financial fraud.

The meeting was chaired by the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) Deputy Secretary-General (Security), Dato’ Hj. Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman, at the NSRC headquarters in Tower 2, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Cyberjaya.

Discussions focused on the latest developments, strategic direction and follow-up measures to enhance NSRC’s operational effectiveness and reinforce cooperation among relevant government agencies.

Among those in attendance were Commercial Crime Investigation Department Director CP Dato’ Rusdi Mohd Isa, National Anti-Financial Crime Centre (NFCC) Director-General Dato’ Sri Shamshun Baharian Mohd Jamil, Deputy Undersecretary of the Public Security and Order Division Hairudin Abdullah, as well as representatives from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK), the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), and CyberSecurity Malaysia.
