NUR26 Celebrates Maulidur Rasul Through Islamic Arts and Spirituality

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Nuansa Urban Rohani 2026 (NUR26) – Hijrah Malam Cinta Rasul programme was held at Laman Beringin, Istana Budaya on 25 August 2026 in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul 1448H celebration.

The programme was attended by Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), YBhg. Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot.

NUR26 featured a range of activities combining Islamic arts, spiritual reflection and cultural performances, including the NUR26 Islamic Arts Canvas featuring local celebrities and Islamic icons, as well as performances by Istana Budaya’s Artis Tari Istana Budaya (ARTISTANA) and Orkestra Tradisional Malaysia (OTM).

The programme also included Resonansi Quran and “Letter to Rasulullah”, providing spiritual enrichment and an opportunity for visitors to express their love and appreciation for Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Young people were also involved through the participation of students from Sekolah Tahfiz Darul Haafizhiin Al-Furqan in various activities and artistic performances.

Strategic collaborations with TV AlHijrah and IKIMfm further expanded NUR26’s reach through live broadcasts to the public.

The programme also sought to strengthen collaboration in promoting the arts as a medium for dakwah and spiritual enrichment, in line with the Malaysia MADANI aspirations.

Also present were TV AlHijrah Board of Directors Chairman, YBrs. Tuan Haji Mohd Khair Ngadiron, and Istana Budaya Deputy Director-General (Operations), YBrs. Encik Johan Cruyf @ Mohd Johari bin Md Nordin.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia, NUR26 is intended to strengthen appreciation of religious values, arts and culture while fostering greater love for Prophet Muhammad SAW. – The Capital Post
