KUALA LUMPUR, 11 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Perikatan Nasional (PN) has congratulated His Excellency C. Joseph Vijay and his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), following their electoral success in Tamil Nadu.
In a media statement issued today, PN Secretary-General Takiyuddin Hassan said Vijay’s victory reflected the confidence of the people in his reform agenda and leadership vision.
He said the win also showed support for values such as justice, social harmony, youth empowerment, modernisation, and opposition to divisive and discriminatory politics.
Vijay, who is popularly known as Thalapathy Vijay, is a former actor widely admired in Malaysia, particularly among Indian youths, for his artistic achievements, humanitarian image and public leadership.

Takiyuddin said Vijay’s political rise has been followed with great interest by many Malaysians due to the longstanding historical, cultural and linguistic ties between Tamil Nadu and Malaysians of Indian descent.
“PN wishes him every success in leading Tamil Nadu towards greater progress, stability and prosperity,” he said.
