KUALA LUMPUR, May 14, 2026 (The Capital Post) — Ministry of Defence launched the PROWIRA Ready-to-Work (RTW) Graduates Programme and the LTAT Foundation Education Initiative 2026 as part of efforts to strengthen graduate employability, particularly among children of Defence Workers (WKP).
According to information shared on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the launch ceremony was officiated by Defence Minister, Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
The PROWIRA RTW Graduates Programme is a strategic initiative implemented through LTAT Foundation to provide 12-month job placements for 154 graduates across 23 companies involving GLCs, GLICs and private sector firms.
Participants of the programme will receive monthly allowances, PERKESO protection, as well as professional skills training aimed at producing highly skilled and competitive graduates.

During the same ceremony, Mohamed Khaled also presented contribution cheques to six principals of Schools in Camp (SDK) under the SPM 2025 initiative, handed over devices to selected students and presented contributions to Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) for the implementation of the e-Perkasa Programme 2026.
The minister also witnessed the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Accounting Professional Certification Programme (ACCA) and the handover of RM3 million in CSR contributions from strategic corporate partners.
Also present were Deputy Defence Minister, Adly Zahari; Ministry of Defence Secretary-General, Lokman Hakim Ali; LTAT Foundation chief executive, Nizar Sudin; service commanders, senior ministry officials and representatives from local defence agencies and companies. – The Capital Post
