Puchong, 21 April 2026 – Modern women today face the dual demands of staying productive while maintaining a balance between physical, mental, and social well-being. As a result, active lifestyles have become increasingly relevant, with running emerging as an activity that not only promotes health but also fosters meaningful social connections.
In line with this movement, Haier Malaysia participated in the Southeast Asia Final Marathon, held during the HAIER Women’s Day Run 2026 in Jakarta. This exclusive category served as an arena for elite runners from Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia, putting Haier’s ‘Play with The Number Ones’ philosophy into action. By fostering excellence in regional sports, Haier Malaysia reinforces its commitment to promoting active, healthier lifestyles that transcend borders.
Representing Malaysia was Noor Amelia Musa, an experienced endurance athlete. Reflecting the event’s inclusive format where gender equality is championed as a shared responsibility, Haier Malaysia also fielded Nik Fakaruddin Ismail to compete alongside Noor Amelia. Together, they delivered a strong presence at the Southeast Asia Final Marathon, with Noor Amelia finishing as the 1st Runner-Up (00:45:39) in the Female Category and Nik Fakaruddin securing the 1st Runner-Up position (00:38:37) in the Male Category, underscoring Malaysia’s competitiveness on the regional endurance stage.

Noor Amelia, 40, a former SEA Games marathoner, continues to be an active figure in Malaysia’s running community. Most recently, she secured first place in the Women Veteran category at the Subang Jaya Half Marathon 2026, reinforcing her consistency and passion for long-distance running.
Nik Fakaruddin, 41, a well-known name in Malaysia’s endurance scene, brings an impressive track record with multiple podium finishes at the Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon and repeated victories at the Perlis Marathon, built on years of consistent participation and competitiveness in running events.
