PUTRAJAYA, 13 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Deputy Minister Datuk Hajah Rubiah Haji Wang today held separate meetings with newly appointed Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) secretary-general Dato’ Sri Suriani Ahmad.
According to information shared on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah, the meeting was held in conjunction with Suriani’s appointment as the ministry’s new secretary-general.
The discussions focused on the ministry’s direction and strategic priorities in strengthening the implementation of rural development initiatives to ensure they continue to be carried out in a structured, effective and high-impact manner for the well-being of the rakyat.
