PORT DICKSON, 20 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – A total of 124 Immigration officer cadets have successfully completed the Basic Certificate and Higher Certificate Course in Immigration Series 1/2026 after undergoing 120 days of intensive training at the Academy of Immigration Malaysia (AIMM) in Port Dickson.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), the End of Training Parade Ceremony was officiated by the ministry’s Secretary-General, Datuk Dr Awang Alik Jeman, and attended by Immigration Department director-general Datuk Zakaria Shaaban.
The graduating cohort comprised 37 Assistant Immigration Superintendents in the KP5 grade and 87 Immigration Officers in the KP1 grade.
Throughout the four-month training programme, the cadets received comprehensive instruction in immigration laws, operational procedures and enforcement skills, while being instilled with values centred on integrity, discipline and professionalism.
The ministry said the programme was designed to equip the officers with the necessary capabilities to safeguard the nation’s borders, enforce immigration regulations and uphold national sovereignty.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said strong institutions remain fundamental to preserving the country’s security and sovereignty.
“The strength of a nation begins with the strength of the institutions that guard its security and sovereignty. Human capital with integrity, discipline and professionalism is the most important asset in ensuring the country’s borders continue to be protected,” he said.
KDN expressed confidence that the new officers will further strengthen the capacity of the Immigration Department in delivering efficient, integrity-driven and people-oriented services in line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI.
The ministry also extended its congratulations to all graduates and encouraged them to continue serving with dedication, professionalism and accountability in safeguarding the nation’s security. – The Capital Post
