300 new teachers introduced to Malaysia Education Blueprint 2026-2035

Kuala Lumpur, 23 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Education Department (Jabatan Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, JPWPKL) recently organised the TEKAD Rancangan Pendidikan Malaysia (RPM) 2026-2035 programme to strengthen awareness and understanding of the nation’s upcoming education blueprint among newly appointed teachers.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Jabatan Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, the programme was held on 13 June 2026 at the Tan Sri Abdul Rafie Auditorium, JPWPKL, from 8.30am to 1.00pm.

The event was officiated by Deputy Director of Education for the Planning and District Education Office Management Sector, Puan Hajah Izaryani binti Ishak. Also in attendance was Puan Hajah Wan Rowena binti Mohamad Rusli, Senior Assistant Director of the Educational Planning and Policy Research Division, Ministry of Education, as well as the RPM spokesperson for the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Education Department.

A total of 300 newly appointed secondary school teachers from the 2025 intake in Kuala Lumpur were introduced to the key initiatives and strategic framework outlined in the RPM 2026-2035 document through a series of presentations delivered by four national and state-level TEKAD RPM spokespersons.

The speakers comprised Deputy Director of Education for the School Management Sector, Puan Aziah binti Amir; Senior Assistant Director of the Planning and District Education Office Management Sector, Puan Hajah Maliza binti Abd Malek; Deputy Education Officer of the Learning Sector at PPD Keramat, Encik Mohd Helmy bin Abdul Majid; and SK Bukit Jalil headmaster, Encik Rozaidi bin Ismail.

The programme was coordinated by Encik Azam bin Daud, Head Assistant Director of the Planning and District Education Office Management Sector, JPWPKL, who served as the Kuala Lumpur TEKAD RPM coordinator.

In addition to the briefing sessions, participants took part in a Kahoot quiz designed to assess their understanding of the RPM 2026-2035 framework based on the presentations delivered during the programme.

The initiative aims to enhance the understanding of newly appointed teachers regarding the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2026-2035 through direct engagement with spokespersons and the distribution of relevant educational materials. – The Capital Post
