LONDON 10 March 2026 (The Capital Post)- English football club Millwall F.C. has been fined £45,000 after supporters were found guilty of making offensive chants during a EFL Cup tie earlier this season.
The sanction was imposed by the Football Association (FA) following an investigation into crowd behaviour during the match. Authorities concluded that a section of Millwall fans engaged in chants deemed abusive and offensive, breaching regulations related to spectator conduct.
According to the FA, the club admitted to the charge and accepted the punishment after the incident was reviewed by an independent regulatory commission. The governing body reiterated that clubs are responsible for ensuring supporters comply with rules aimed at preventing discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour in stadiums.
