KUALA LUMPUR, 14 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Majlis Sukan Negara Malaysia (MSN) have begun early preparations for Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2026, focusing on safety, traffic management and operational coordination throughout the race route.
Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik (JSPT) Director YDH CP Dato’ Sri Muhammed Hasbullah bin Ali received a courtesy visit from an MSN delegation led by Director of Event and Sports Management Division, Encik Mohd Safrushahar bin Yusoff, at the JSPT Bukit Aman Headquarters on 12 August.
The visit was held to discuss preparations for LTdL 2026, particularly security arrangements, traffic control, traffic management and operational coordination along the race route. Financial matters and the allocation of event-related costs were also discussed.
MSN informed that LTdL 2026 is scheduled to take place from 27 September to 4 October 2026, involving several states across the country.

Based on the experience of previous editions, both parties expressed confidence that close coordination between the agencies would continue to be strengthened to ensure the successful staging of the prestigious event, which showcases Malaysia on the international stage.
Also present were JSPT Deputy Director (Enforcement/Traffic Control/Summons Management) YDH DCP Mohd Rozi bin Jidin; JSPT Bukit Aman Deputy Director (General Policing/Investigation/Resources) YDH ACP Fauzi bin Osman; JSPT Bukit Aman Head of Secretariat YDH ACP Shankar A/L Sanrakasa; JSPT Bukit Aman senior officers and Assistant Directors; as well as MSN delegation members Encik Nor Ikhwan bin Ismail, Head of Championship Management Branch; Encik Emir Abdul Jalal, Chief Operating Officer of Le Tour de Langkawi; and Puan Nor Atikah binti Arifin.
