PETALING JAYA 26 March 2026 (The Capital Post)- Controversial Malaysian businessman Victor Chin has been urged by PKR central leadership council member Dr Abu Hafiz Salleh Hudin to disclose the identity of the lawmaker he claims received a RM9.5 million payment in relation to the so‑called “corporate mafia” scandal.

Abu Hafiz said on Thursday that if Chin’s allegation is accurate, revealing the MP’s name and presenting supporting evidence should happen without further delay, dismissing any reason to prolong speculation.

In a TikTok video, he warned that withholding details could breed confusion and unwarranted attacks on national institutions, and he called on Chin to return to Malaysia to cooperate with authorities if he maintains his innocence.

He also said that, should Chin be found guilty of blackmail, supporters of the current government would not defend him, and he praised PKR vice‑president Datuk Seri R. Ramanan for publicly addressing the matter at a press briefing earlier this week.

Chin’s allegation follows his release of a 40‑page document outlining his version of events, in which he claimed a PKR MP requested RM10 million to resolve the controversy, but only RM9.5 million was delivered and no resolution occurred.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has said police are aware of Chin’s whereabouts and that decisions on any action, including possible passport revocation, will await the conclusion of initial investigations.

The so‑called corporate mafia allegations contend that some senior Malaysian Anti‑Corruption Commission officials orchestrated pressure tactics against corporate executives and shareholders, a claim the MACC has denied as an attempt to damage its credibility. -The Capital Post
