KOTA SAMARAHAN, Sarawak, 11 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) has expanded its MySISWA Job on Campus (MySISWA@JoC) initiative nationwide, providing more opportunities for university students to earn an income while pursuing their studies.
Higher Education Minister YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir officiated the launch of the National-Level MySISWA@JoC 2026 Programme at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) on June 9.
According to a Facebook post by Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, MySISWA@JoC is designed to provide flexible part-time employment opportunities for students at public universities, helping them manage living expenses while enhancing soft skills and improving graduate employability.
The launch marks the expansion of the programme to all 20 public universities nationwide, backed by an allocation of RM20 million.
KPT said the initiative is expected to benefit approximately 10,000 students through a range of on-campus job placements that are coordinated with their academic schedules.

Through its “earn while you learn” approach, the programme enables students to generate additional income while gaining valuable work experience and practical skills that will better prepare them for future employment.
Zambry said the initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to strengthening student welfare and ensuring higher education remains accessible and supportive amid rising living costs.
Also present were KPT Secretary-General Datuk Ts. Dr. Haji Aminuddin Hassim, members of the ministry’s top management, vice-chancellors of public universities and strategic partners involved in the programme.
