KUCHING, 17 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – A total of 1,010 healthcare personnel from the Sarawak State Health Department were recognised at the 2025 Excellent Service Award (APC) ceremony held at the Penview Convention Centre (PCC) Demak here today.
The awards were presented by Ministry of Health Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad in recognition of the recipients’ outstanding performance, dedication and commitment in delivering quality healthcare services to the public.
According to a Facebook post by Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, the recipients comprised staff from the Sarawak State Health Department, the Kuching, Samarahan, Serian and Sri Aman divisional health offices, hospitals, as well as dental and pharmacy services.
In his address, Hasnol congratulated all award recipients for their commitment, discipline and integrity in carrying out their responsibilities, describing the recognition as a testament to the workforce’s continued efforts to ensure efficient, effective and people-centred healthcare delivery.
He said the awards not only acknowledge the contributions of healthcare workers but also serve as a source of inspiration for personnel to continuously improve their performance and service excellence.

Hasnol also expressed appreciation to the Sarawak government for its support in advancing the national healthcare digitalisation agenda through the implementation of the Cloud-Based Clinic Management System (CCMS) across health clinics in the state.
He urged all Ministry of Health personnel to continue fostering a culture of innovation, uphold integrity and professionalism, and strengthen their competencies to navigate technological changes and current challenges.
Also present were Sarawak State Health Director Dr. Veronica Lugah, Deputy State Health Director (Management) Banges Munga, Deputy State Health Director (Medical) Dr. Azlee Ayub, Deputy State Health Director (Dental) Dr. Misah Md Ramli, and Deputy State Health Director (Food Safety and Quality) Mohammad Jefri Crossley.
