KUALA LUMPUR, 21 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysia Police’s Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK) is strengthening international cooperation with the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) to combat the growing threat of cross-border commercial crime.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Polis Diraja Malaysia (Royal Malaysia Police), the enhanced collaboration was discussed during a courtesy visit by a KNPA delegation to JSJK director Commissioner Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa at the KPJ Building on Friday.
The South Korean delegation was led by Superintendent General Park Jung Sung, Director of the International Police Cooperation Bureau and Head of the National Central Bureau in Seoul.
The meeting focused on reinforcing bilateral cooperation and improving mechanisms for the real-time sharing of intelligence to tackle increasingly sophisticated and complex fraud syndicates operating across borders.

Both parties acknowledged the evolving nature of commercial crime, particularly scams and financial fraud schemes that often involve international networks and advanced technologies.
The strengthened partnership is expected to enhance enforcement capabilities and facilitate faster information exchange between the two agencies in identifying, investigating and disrupting transnational criminal activities.
Polis Diraja Malaysia said the collaboration reflects its ongoing commitment to expanding international law enforcement networks to better protect the public from commercial crime threats and ensure more effective responses to emerging global fraud trends. – The Capital Post
