Anwar Urges PTD Cadets to Uphold Integrity and Public Service Excellence

PUTRAJAYA, July 17, 2026 (The Capital Post) – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Administrative and Diplomatic Officers (PTD) cadets to uphold integrity, professionalism and a strong commitment to serving the people and the nation.

Speaking during a meeting with PTD cadets currently undergoing the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management Programme, Anwar said the responsibility of being a civil servant requires integrity, efficiency, the courage to embrace change and a firm commitment to placing the interests of the people and the country above all else.

He stressed that Malaysia’s future depends on a capable, principled and forward-looking public service that is able to strengthen good governance and drive national progress.

Anwar also expressed confidence that the next generation of civil servants will play a key role in building a more advanced, just and prosperous Malaysia.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister emphasised the importance of cultivating a public service that is committed to integrity, accountability and excellence in delivering services to the rakyat. – The Capital Post
