NEEAP 2.0 is expected to generate significant economic and environmental benefits, with the 815,000 TJ in projected energy savings equivalent to the electricity supply requirements of Peninsular Malaysia for almost two years.

The 10-year action plan is also projected to generate RM85 billion in net energy savings and attract RM36 billion in private investment.
