KUALA LUMPUR, 21 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – A total of 50 micro enterprises and creative entrepreneurs from across Malaysia were showcased at the Mikro Ke Kecil Circular Economy & Sustainability Week 2026, highlighting creativity, innovation and circular economy practices.
Her Royal Highness the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, officiated the programme at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on 20 September.
Organised by the Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJKM), the programme brought together ministries, government agencies, the corporate sector, educational institutions, non-governmental organisations and communities to support economic development through creativity, innovation and circular economy practices.
One of the programme’s main highlights was a Malaysia Book of Records achievement in the “Biggest Upcycled Tarpaulin Bag” category.
Other attractions included the Sustainability Discovery Marketplace – The Tunku Azizah Handmade Market, Corporate Sustainability Experience Studio (CSE), exhibitions and the Sustainability Hands-on Workshop.

Held over five days from 16 to 20 September at Level 2, Pink Zone, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, the programme promoted circular economy practices through the reuse of waste materials, development of value-added products and sustainable textile innovation.
Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry (NRES) Secretary-General YBhg. Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin was also present and received recognition from the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang for NRES’ contribution and support towards PSJKM’s efforts in community empowerment, entrepreneurship development, circular economy initiatives and sustainability.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES), the programme served as a platform to strengthen entrepreneurship while expanding circular economy and sustainability practices. – The Capital Post
