KUALA LUMPUR, 21 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) has received recognition for its support in empowering communities, developing entrepreneurship and expanding circular economy and sustainability initiatives.
The recognition was presented during the opening ceremony of the Mikro Ke Kecil – Circular Economy & Sustainability Week 2026 programme at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on 20 September.
Her Royal Highness the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, presented the recognition to KKDW Secretary-General YBhg. Dato’ Sri Suriani binti Dato’ Ahmad.
The recognition acknowledged KKDW’s contribution, support and confidence in the Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJKM).

Through its Bahagian Kesejahteraan Rakyat, KKDW has supported the association’s efforts to empower communities, develop entrepreneurship and create income-generating opportunities.
The ministry’s support has also helped expand circular economy and sustainability initiatives aimed at delivering direct benefits to communities.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, the recognition reflects KKDW’s support for PSJKM and its community empowerment, entrepreneurship and sustainability initiatives. – The Capital Post
