PETALING JAYA: Opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin has been expelled from Bersatu, effective immediately.
Bersatu’s Disciplinary Board Chairman Datuk Mohd Radzi Manan said in a notice issued Friday (Feb 13) that the decision was made during the board meeting on Thursday (Feb 12).
The board determined that Hamzah’s membership rights in the party would be terminated under Clause 22.5 of the party constitution, effective from the date of the notice.

“The dismissal is due to actions violating Clause 9.1.4 of the Bersatu constitution,” Mohd Radzi added.
He noted that Hamzah may submit an appeal to the party’s Appeal Board for consideration from the date of the notice.
