PUTRAJAYA, 22 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) has strengthened cooperation with foreign diplomatic missions in Malaysia to enhance the governance, transparency and efficiency of foreign worker management.
The engagement session with foreign missions representing source countries was chaired by Deputy Secretary-General (Policy and International) Dr Mohd Shaharin Umar and served as a strategic platform to discuss various aspects of foreign worker management.
Among the key topics discussed were the digitalisation of the foreign worker recruitment process and the implementation of the KESUMA One-Stop Centre for Foreign Worker Management (OSC KESUMA), the Universal Recruitment Advanced Platform (TURAP), the Foreign Worker Centralized Management System (FWCMS) and the Foreign Worker Transit Centre.
KESUMA said the initiatives are aimed at streamlining the recruitment and management of foreign workers through a more systematic and integrated approach while improving service delivery.

The ministry added that the engagement strengthened coordination, information sharing and cooperation between the Malaysian Government and source countries to ensure the recruitment and management of foreign workers are carried out efficiently, transparently and with integrity, while supporting the country’s labour market needs.
