Human Resources Minister Dato’ Sri Ramanan Ramakrishnan flagged off the MADANI Food Basket Contribution Programme convoy in Kuala Lumpur on 27 October 2026.

The initiative aims to ease household expenses and provide assistance to families preparing for the Deepavali celebrations.

The programme is being implemented through cooperation among five agencies under KESUMA, namely TalentCorp, the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO), HRD Corp, the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK) and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
