KOTA BHARU, 11 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) held a Meet-and-Greet and Dialogue Session with healthcare leaders from the Eastern Zone at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II (HRPZII) here, focusing on challenges, improvements and the future direction of healthcare services.
The session was initiated by KKM Secretary-General YBhg. Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad as a platform for two-way communication between the ministry’s top management and healthcare leadership in Kelantan and Terengganu.
The discussions covered various issues affecting healthcare delivery, including hospital staffing, allocations and expenditure for medical equipment, as well as the construction of new hospitals to ensure healthcare service needs are effectively met.

KKM said the views and experiences of hospital, district and specialist-level leaders were important inputs for the ministry’s strategic planning.
The session was attended by YBrs. Dr. Izamin bin Idris, Director of HRPZII; YBrs. Dr. Amran bin Japar, Director of Hospital Kemaman; YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Imi Sairi bin Ab Hadi, Senior Consultant Breast Surgeon at HRPZII; and YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Mat Zuki bin Mat Jaeb, Respiratory Medicine Consultant at HRPZII.
Also in attendance were National Heads of Specialties, National Heads of Subspecialties, District Health Officers and District Dental Health Officers from the Eastern Zone covering Kelantan and Terengganu.
