KPM Launches Financial Literacy Month 2026

BANDAR BARU BANGI, 30 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Education (KPM) has launched its Financial Literacy Month 2026 to strengthen financial knowledge, skills and responsible money management practices among students and education personnel.

The programme was launched at the Malaysian Tax Academy in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, on 29 September.

Deputy Director-General of Education Malaysia (Policy and Curriculum Sector) Dr. Rusmini binti Ku Ahmad officiated the event and emphasised the importance of cultivating wise and responsible financial management practices.

The programme also featured the launch of the National Financial Literacy Strategy 2026–2030 under the Financial Education Network (FEN) initiative.

A BSN–KPM Financial Literacy Module in Braille was also introduced for students with special educational needs.

KPM said the initiative forms part of its efforts to raise awareness of financial literacy and help develop a generation capable of making informed and responsible financial decisions.
