PUTRAJAYA, 11 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Education (KPM) has unveiled a series of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening education reform, enhancing student welfare and improving the overall quality of the national education system.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek announced the initiatives during the ministry’s monthly assembly, describing them as important steps towards advancing Malaysia’s education agenda while ensuring the safety and well-being of the education community.
According to a Facebook post by Fadhlina Sidek, the initiatives include the introduction of the Safe School Management Guidelines and KPM Student Protection Policy, the launch of the Malaysia Education Blueprint (RPM) 2026–2035 portal and the appointment of the RPM 2026–2035 Initiative Team, the empowerment of Technical Secondary Schools, and the implementation of the KPM iPayment initiative.
Fadhlina said the Safe School Management Guidelines and Student Protection Policy would serve as key references in ensuring educational institutions remain safe, conducive and supportive learning environments. The framework was developed in collaboration with experts, including the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
She added that the RPM 2026–2035 portal is a crucial platform to enhance public access to information regarding the nation’s education reform agenda, noting that the success of the blueprint depends on the collective understanding and commitment of educators, stakeholders and the wider community.
In a move to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), all nine Technical Secondary Schools have officially been placed under the management of the Fully Residential and Excellence Schools Management Division (BPSBP), a step aimed at elevating technical education in line with national priorities.
