PUTRAJAYA, 30 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) received a visit from a delegation of the China International Nuclear Fusion Energy Program Execution Center (CINFEPEC), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China, led by Deputy Director-General Ms. Wang Min.
The meeting focused on potential cooperation in nuclear fusion technology, particularly in human capital development, researcher exchanges, joint research and development (R&D), as well as knowledge and technology sharing.
Both sides also exchanged views on current advancements in nuclear fusion technology and explored opportunities for Malaysian researchers to participate in relevant training programmes and research initiatives.

The engagement marked a step towards identifying suitable areas of collaboration based on Malaysia’s needs and readiness, while further strengthening science and technology cooperation between Malaysia and China.
