KUALA LUMPUR, 16 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Transport (MOT), through the Road Transport Department (JPJ) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (KPM), continues to strengthen road safety awareness and human capital development through the MyLesen B2 and MyLesen B2 Sekolah (MyB2S) programmes.
According to a Facebook post by Ministry of Transport Malaysia, the initiatives under the MADANI government aim to expand access to safe, structured and legal motorcycle licensing, particularly among youth and students from lower-income families.
The programme is designed to promote social responsibility while reducing financial barriers that may prevent eligible candidates from obtaining proper driving licences.
For 2026, the government has allocated RM10.5 million for 30,000 MyLesen B2 participants nationwide, and RM18.5 million for 60,000 MyB2S students. In Johor alone, the programme benefits 8,000 participants, including communities in Yong Peng, with an allocation of RM2.4 million.

The initiative also includes the issuance of Probationary Driving Licences (PDL) and Learner Driving Licences (LDL) as part of efforts to strengthen youth road safety awareness and behavioural change.
MOT said the programme reflects the principle of sustainability by safeguarding lives, noting that more than 60 per cent of road fatalities involve motorcyclists under the age of 30.
Through stronger governance and strategic collaboration between MOT, KPM and JPJ, the intervention is expected to reduce road accident risks and build a safer, more sustainable road ecosystem for all Malaysians. – The Capital Post
