SUBANG JAYA, 28 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) honoured Deputy Inspector-General of Police DIG Dato’ Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid for his leadership and contributions during nearly two years at the helm of the Management Department.
The “Dining Out” ceremony, themed “A Leader Who Guides, A Mentor Who Inspires”, was held at Sunway Resort Hotel, Selangor, in recognition of his service as Management Department Director since 17 December 2024.
Abdul Aziz expressed his appreciation to personnel of the department for their cooperation, support and commitment throughout his tenure, stressing that the department’s achievements were the result of collective effort rather than any one individual.
He also shared his leadership principle that a senior police officer should help facilitate effective governance and operations wherever they are assigned.
Abdul Aziz urged Management Department personnel to continue upholding esprit de corps, integrity and professionalism, while remaining open to constructive feedback and adapting their approaches to changing requirements.
He also emphasised that decisions must be made responsibly, fairly and prudently due to their direct impact on the careers, welfare and wellbeing of PDRM personnel and their families.

Abdul Aziz described the ceremony not as a farewell, but as a continuation of his service to the force as he assumes wider responsibilities as Deputy Inspector-General of Police.
He expressed hope that the Management Department would remain a key pillar in strengthening PDRM, particularly in human resource management, welfare, human capital development and effective service delivery.
Also present were his wife and PERKEP Malaysia Vice-Chairman Datin Sri Selmiah Tuan Ibrahim, Inspector-General of Police Secretariat (Research and Development) Commissioner CP Datuk Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad and Crime Prevention Board Member CP Dato’ Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff.
