KUALA LUMPUR, 14 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman (YTAR) has supported more than 12,000 Malaysian youths through scholarships, financial assistance and leadership development programmes, with total investments amounting to RM96.6 million since its establishment in 1966.
The achievement was highlighted by Minister of National Unity YB Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang at the 60th YTAR Anniversary Celebration held in the capital.
Since its establishment, YTAR has provided Malaysian youths with opportunities to pursue higher education while empowering their potential, developing leadership capabilities and contributing to national development.
In his speech, Datuk Aaron said YTAR’s role had evolved beyond providing scholarships to identifying talent, expanding access and developing the potential of young Malaysians.

“YTAR’s role is no longer merely to provide scholarships, but to identify talent, open access and develop the potential of young people,” he said.
He also called on more companies to make education and talent development an important part of their respective organisations’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Perpaduan Negara, the 60th anniversary celebration highlighted YTAR’s continued contribution to empowering Malaysian youth through education, financial support and leadership development. – The Capital Post
