PADANG BESAR, 27 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Communications has reviewed the implementation of the National Digital Health Ecosystem and Connectivity Driver (PERSADA) initiative at Klinik Kesihatan Padang Besar, Perlis, as part of efforts to strengthen digital health infrastructure and connectivity.
Communications Minister Dato’ Seri Fahmi Fadzil and Communications Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah visited the clinic to assess the initiative’s progress.
The visit included a briefing by Perlis State Health Director Dr. Ghazali Chik on the implementation of PERSADA, as well as demonstrations of digital solutions including the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to support more integrated public healthcare delivery.
PERSADA is a collaboration between the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM), with a focus on strengthening connectivity at health clinics and hospitals.

The initiative also supports the aspiration of “One Individual, One Record” through improved digital health infrastructure and more connected healthcare services.
Also present were MCMC Chief Industry Development Officer Muhammad Razali Anuar and MCMC Head of Future Requirements Division Sani Mohamed.
