KUALA LUMPUR 27 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Salak Selatan Police Station conducted a roadblock operation as part of the Omnipresent initiative to enhance public compliance with the law, improve road safety awareness and strengthen public security.
The operation was carried out on 25 July 2026 from 10.00 pm to 2.00 am in front of Damai Residensi, Sungai Besi Expressway, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, under the leadership of Salak Selatan Police Chief, Insp. Thamotarn a/l Karupanan, together with Deputy Salak Selatan Police Chief, S/Insp. Lakhmier Singh a/l Sowaran Singh, and 13 police personnel.
The operation proceeded smoothly in accordance with the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), involving inspections on 31 individuals and 29 vehicles. The checks resulted in the issuance of 22 POL 257 summonses for various traffic offences, while no POL 170A summonses were issued.

The roadblock operation was conducted to increase police visibility on the ground, prevent potential criminal activities through continuous monitoring, encourage greater compliance among road users with traffic laws and regulations, as well as strengthen public confidence in the services provided by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
Overall, the operation was carried out in a smooth, orderly and controlled manner without any untoward incidents, reflecting PDRM’s continuous commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. – The Capital Post
