SIBU: A 41-year-old social media influencer, Chen Ding Ding, tragically died in a road accident along Jalan Teng Kung Suk 3 on Monday (Feb 16) morning.
Police reported that Chen lost control of his four-wheel drive (4WD) and collided with a parked lorry. Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Zulkifli Suhaili said authorities were notified of the crash at around 2am.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased lost control of his vehicle, which subsequently struck the rear of a trailer lorry parked at the end of the road,” he said. Firefighters had to cut open the roof of the 4WD to extricate Chen’s body.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Chen was well known as a food enthusiast, sharing his culinary experiences and reviews on his social media platforms.
