TDA Appoints Liew Yun Fah as Chairman

CYBERJAYA 20 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Technology Depository Agency Bhd (TDA) has announced the appointment of Tan Sri Datuk Liew Yun Fah as its new Chairman, effective June 15, 2026, marking a significant leadership transition as the agency enters its second decade of advancing Malaysia’s technology capabilities and strategic government procurement ecosystem.

According to TDA, Liew’s extensive experience in public sector leadership and strategic governance is expected to strengthen the agency’s efforts in ensuring government procurement delivers greater economic, technological and industrial value. His appointment comes as TDA continues to expand its role in supporting national development through innovation-driven initiatives and strategic collaboration.

Established in 2015, TDA is entrusted by the Ministry of Finance to implement the Industrial Collaboration Program (ICP) and lead the operationalisation of the Performance Based Contract (PBC) initiative. The agency also oversees the implementation of ICP under Treasury Circular PP/PK 1.7 and serves as Malaysia’s Centre of Reference for PBC under Treasury Circular PP/PK 1.8.

TDA works closely with ministries, government agencies, government-linked companies (GLCs) and strategic industries to maximise the value of government procurement while promoting sustainable industrial and technological growth across the country.

Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Liew said he was honoured to be entrusted with leading the agency into its next phase of growth. He noted that TDA had built a strong foundation over the past decade and earned the confidence of the Government, industry players and key stakeholders.

He added that he looks forward to working closely with the Board of Directors, management team and strategic partners to further strengthen TDA’s contribution towards Malaysia’s technological and industrial development.
