PUTRAJAYA, 27 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching and Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, who is also chairman of the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) Working Committee, inspected preparations by volunteers from the HKHM 2026 Sponsorship Committee at the Multipurpose Hall of Menara Komunikasi here yesterday.
The visit also provided an opportunity for both to engage with the volunteers who were preparing items for distribution to the public.
Teo Nie Ching and Datuk Abdul Halim also joined the volunteers in preparing 700 packs of items to be distributed to media personnel as a token of appreciation for their commitment and support in making the 2026 National Day celebrations a success.

The volunteers were involved in sorting items received from more than 130 strategic partners for distribution, as well as meeting the requirements of various committees involved in organising the 2026 National Day celebrations.
Also present were Senior Undersecretary (Management) and HKHM 2026 Working Committee secretary Datuk Aminurrahim Mohamed, and Undersecretary of the Control and Compliance Division and chairman of the HKHM 2026 Sponsorship Committee Kamarudin Abdul Rani.
