Women’s participation in TVET strengthened through national seminar 2026

PUTRAJAYA, Monday 15 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Director-General of Education Malaysia, Mohd Azam bin Ahmad, officiated the Seminar Wanita dalam TVET: Membina Potensi, Mencorak Masa Hadapan held at the Auditorium Kompleks E, Ministry of Education, Putrajaya.

According to information shared via the official Facebook page of Bahagian Pendidikan dan Latihan Teknikal Vokasional (BPLTV), Ministry of Education Malaysia, the seminar was organised as a strategic platform to strengthen women’s participation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), in line with Malaysia’s goal of developing a highly skilled, competitive and industry-ready workforce.

The two-day seminar, held from 15 to 16 June 2026, brought together senior Ministry of Education leadership, industry representatives, educational institutions and various stakeholders within the national TVET ecosystem.

The event also featured the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education (BPLTV) and Advanced Energy Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd., aimed at strengthening strategic collaboration in TVET talent development, industrial training implementation and the preparation of skilled manpower for high-technology industries, particularly the semiconductor sector.

Organisers said the programme reflects BPLTV’s continued commitment to expanding access and opportunities for women to explore and excel in TVET through knowledge sharing, industry exposure and best practices from education and industry experts.
