KOTA KINABALU: A businessman’s sports car was confiscated after being found in violation of several traffic regulations in Tuaran, near Kota Kinabalu.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) carried out a special luxury vehicle operation, Ops Khas Luxury, late Monday (Feb 9), and discovered that the car was being driven without valid road tax or insurance.

“Its registration number also did not comply with the required specifications,” said Sabah JPJ director Datuk Mohd Harris Ali in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 10).

He added that the offences fall under the Road Transport Act 1987. The vehicle was seized for further investigation.
