New PTD Officers Urged To Uphold Integrity And Professionalism

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Ministry of Defence Secretary-General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali has urged newly appointed Administrative and Diplomatic Officers (PTD) Grade M9 to uphold integrity, accountability and professionalism in carrying out their duties.

He delivered the message while presenting a briefing and placement letters to four newly appointed PTD Grade M9 officers during a session held at the Ministry of Defence.

Datuk Lokman said every civil servant carries a significant responsibility as a driver of government policies and the country’s administrative machinery.

He urged the new officers to uphold values of honesty, sincerity, accountability and professionalism in every action, while continuously striving to provide quality, efficient and effective public services.

He also reminded the officers that leadership strength should not be measured solely by career achievements, but also by character and strong values.

The officers were further encouraged to maintain their spiritual well-being through practices that could strengthen their identity, integrity and balance in facing the challenges and responsibilities of serving as civil servants at the Ministry of Defence.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the session was held as part of efforts to guide the newly appointed officers in carrying out their responsibilities with integrity and professionalism. – The Capital Post
