FMM and Hong Kong Productivity Council Sign MoU to Strengthen Industrial Collaboration

KUALA LUMPUR 20 April 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) to enhance industrial cooperation and boost cross-border partnerships between Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The agreement aims to promote collaboration in areas such as smart manufacturing, digital transformation and innovation, as both parties seek to strengthen industrial capabilities and competitiveness in their respective economies.

Under the MoU, FMM and HKPC will work together to facilitate knowledge exchange, technology adoption and capacity-building initiatives, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The partnership is also expected to support businesses in leveraging advanced technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0 solutions.

Both organisations emphasised the importance of fostering stronger regional ties to help industries adapt to evolving global challenges, including supply chain disruptions and the need for sustainable manufacturing practices.
