KUALA LUMPUR, 9 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening governance while balancing the protection of human rights and national security during the tabling of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) 2024 Annual Report and Financial Statements in the Dewan Rakyat.
Prior to delivering the winding-up speech, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Nasarah chaired a review session with representatives from KDN divisions and agencies to ensure the speech was comprehensive, accurate and based on verified facts.
The session involved officials from the Public Security and Order Division, Immigration Affairs Division, Human Resources Division, Registration and Organisations Division, Development Division, Prisons, Anti-Drugs and RELA Division, as well as the Immigration Department, Prisons Department, Royal Malaysia Police, National Registration Department, National Anti-Drugs Agency and the Independent Police Conduct Commission.
The collaboration was aimed at coordinating factual information and strengthening the content of the minister’s winding-up speech.

In his address to the Dewan Rakyat, Shamsul Anuar outlined KDN’s continued commitment to enhancing governance, safeguarding public interests and ensuring that the protection of human rights remains balanced with the country’s security priorities.
