BENTONG, 29 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) is exploring opportunities to strengthen Bentong’s tourism offerings by developing existing local attractions into more competitive and sustainable destinations.
MOTAC Secretary-General Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot conducted a working visit to Majlis Perbandaran Bentong on 28 September to review tourism development prospects in the district.
During the visit, Shaharuddin received a briefing from Majlis Perbandaran Bentong president Dato’ Haji Rose Samsul bin Abdul Razak on the area’s tourism potential and development plans.
The delegation also visited Kelab Golf Bentong and Kolam Air Panas Bentong to assess the potential of both locations to attract more visitors.

MOTAC said the visit provided an opportunity to evaluate existing tourism assets that could be further developed as tourism products, while expanding destination choices and supporting the local economy.
The ministry also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening strategic cooperation with local authorities in developing quality, competitive and sustainable tourism products and destinations.
