KUALA LUMPUR: Views on national integration and educational development were discussed at a recent Institute for Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (Insap) Hari Raya Aidilfitri dinner, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

“We discussed our views on various topics especially related to unity in our community, national integration and development in the field of education,” he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (April 16).
The MCA president said he hoped the relationship between MCA and the academics would continue to strengthen and that their joint effort will play a role in developing the country.
Dr Wee said he was invited by Insap to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with many well-known academics.
He added that those in attendance included academics such as analyst Prof Datuk Dr Shamsul Amri Baharuddin, Assoc Prof Dr Zaini Othman, political analyst Dr Muhamad Nadzri Mohamed Noor from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and political science lecturer Prof Dr Ahmad Fauzi Abdul Hamid from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

Also present were MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon, his deputy, Datuk Dr Pamela Yong who is Insap chairman, Insap adviser and former deputy higher education minister Datuk Dr Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad and former Insap chairman and MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker among others.
Insap is an independent think-tank and research outfit that conducts research and analysis on politics, economics, education, women’s rights and development, social and other issues in Malaysia.
