PUTRAJAYA, 11 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening integrity and accountability across its agencies through enhanced governance practices and compliance measures.
NRES Secretary-General Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin officiated the closing session of the Executive Briefing on Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009 on Corporate Liability and the 2025 Guidelines for the Management of Integrity Units in Statutory Bodies and Companies Limited by Guarantee (CLBG).
According to a Facebook post by Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam, Anis Rizana emphasised that integrity is not merely about complying with regulations but represents a leadership responsibility that must be championed and exemplified by an organisation’s top management.
She said a strong culture of integrity serves as a crucial foundation for strengthening governance that is effective, transparent and accountable.
The hybrid briefing brought together chief executive officers, board members and senior management representatives from statutory bodies and CLBGs under NRES. The session focused on the implementation of Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009 and the enhancement of Integrity Unit functions in line with the 2025 management guidelines.

NRES said the initiative forms part of its ongoing efforts to cultivate integrity, improve accountability and strengthen resilient governance frameworks across organisations under its supervision.
In line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI and the national sustainability agenda, the ministry remains committed to making integrity a core pillar of public service delivery and organisational excellence.
Also present were Ministry of Works Integrity Unit Director Mohd Nur Lokman Samingan, chief executive officers and representatives from agencies under the ministry.
