KUALA LUMPUR, 8 May, 2026 (The Capital Post) — Pakatan Harapan (PH) will organise the Pakatan Harapan Convention 2026 on May 17 at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor, according to a media statement shared on the official Pakatan Harapan facebook.
The convention, themed “Tekad Madani, Harapan Rakyat” (Madani Resolve, People’s Hope), is scheduled to begin at 8.00am and continue until 6.00pm.
According to the statement released on the official Pakatan Harapan channels, the convention aims to strengthen leadership unity and organisational cohesion while coordinating political efforts and refining the coalition’s direction in addressing current national challenges.
As the backbone of the MADANI Government, Pakatan Harapan said the coalition remains focused on strengthening the national economy, maintaining political stability, and reinforcing public confidence ahead of upcoming state elections and Malaysia’s 16th General Election (GE16).

Prime Minister and Pakatan Harapan Chairman, Anwar Ibrahim, is expected to deliver a special keynote address to delegates during the convention. Several top leaders of the coalition are also expected to attend as part of efforts to reinforce unity and preparedness in facing current political developments.
The statement noted that the last Pakatan Harapan Convention was held in 2022, and the return of the convention reflects the coalition’s continued commitment to strengthening its organisation, empowering its reform agenda, and ensuring the aspirations of the MADANI Government continue to benefit the people.
