KUALA LUMPUR, 26 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Preparations by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for the National Day Celebration 2026 have entered a more intensive phase with a skeleton rehearsal of the PDRM Parade and Contingent Procession held at the Parade Ground of the Police Training Centre (PULAPOL) Kuala Lumpur this morning.
The rehearsal served as an important platform to ensure all PDRM detachments are fully prepared ahead of the National Day parade and procession scheduled to take place in Putrajaya on 31 August.
Focus was placed on movement coordination, formation discipline, uniformity and overall presentation, while technical and logistical aspects were reviewed and refined to ensure the PDRM contingent performs in an orderly and disciplined manner.
A total of 595 PDRM officers, personnel and assets will participate in this year’s parade through nine detachments, comprising the police band, working uniforms, retired police personnel, operational attire, vehicles and animals.

The continuous training and preparations reflect PDRM’s commitment to ensuring all detachments are ready to deliver their best performance during the national celebration while fostering patriotism and love for the country.
The rehearsal was witnessed by Director of Management, CP Dato’ Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid; Deputy Director of Management (Administration) Bukit Aman, DCP Datuk Mohd Faisal Yahya; PULAPOL Kuala Lumpur Commandant, SAC Datuk Mohd Nor Yhazid Idris; Chief Assistant Director (Management) (Administration) Bukit Aman, SAC Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir; Chief Assistant Director (Management) (Police Retirees Affairs) Bukit Aman, SAC Alina Saad; and Assistant Director of Management (Administration/Budget) Bukit Aman, ACP Harlina Masnan.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Polis Diraja Malaysia ( Royal Malaysia Police ), the rehearsal is part of PDRM’s preparations to ensure its contingents are ready for the National Day 2026 celebration in Putrajaya. – The Capital Post
