PUTRAJAYA, 22 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0 under the Ministry of Education (KPM) is being implemented across 27 Teacher Education Institute (IPG) campuses nationwide to strengthen the character and identity of future teachers.
The programme was launched at the Auditorium, Complex E, Putrajaya, on Monday (21 September) by Deputy Education Minister YB Wong Kah Woh.
PLKN 3.0 KPM is designed to strengthen and complement existing teacher training, particularly in discipline, leadership, resilience, patriotism, teamwork and commitment to serving the nation.
The programme also supports the aspirations of the Malaysia Education Plan (RPM) 2026–2035, which emphasises holistic human development.

The initiative aims to develop teachers who are not only knowledgeable and skilled but also equipped with strong character, values and a firm sense of identity.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Education Malaysia, PLKN 3.0 KPM also serves as a platform to strengthen teachers’ roles in character building, fostering unity and shaping future generations of Malaysians. – The Capital Post
