BACHOK, 22 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) hosted the Ministry of Higher Education’s (KPT) Development Action Committee (JTPK) Meeting No. 9 of 2026 on Monday (21 September) to review the implementation and progress of development projects under the ministry.
The meeting at the Senate Meeting Room, Chancellery Building, UMK Bachok, was chaired by KPT Secretary-General Datuk Ts. Dr. Hj. Aminuddin bin Hassim.
Also present were KPT Deputy Secretary-General (Management and Development) Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Azman bin Hassan, Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) Encik Ahmad Rizal bin Adnan and Development Division Secretary Encik Izamael Zamzuri bin Ismail.
The KPT delegation was welcomed by UMK Vice-Chancellor Dato’ Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Arham Abdullah and the university’s senior management.
The JTPK meeting is held monthly to monitor the implementation of development projects under the ministry.
In conjunction with the meeting, Aminuddin conducted a physical inspection of several projects, including the construction of a student residential college and the Faculty of Entrepreneurship Complex, as well as developments involving the sports centre, football field and tennis courts.

A day earlier, Mohd Nor Azman also conducted a monitoring visit to UMK’s Jeli Campus to review ongoing projects, physical progress and infrastructure development.
The visit included briefings on current development progress and inspections of projects at the Faculty of Earth Science, including facilities for persons with disabilities and laboratory equipment.
The delegation also visited the GREAT entrepreneurship incubator centre and the Secret Garden area at Agro Techno Park.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, the visits formed part of efforts to monitor the progress and implementation of development projects across its campuses. – The Capital Post
