Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Lim Hui Ying today officiated the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Malaysia Counsellors Board (LKM) and AirAsia Aviation Management Services Sdn. Bhd. in Sepang.

The collaboration, which has been in place since 2016, reflects the continued commitment of both parties to strengthening psychosocial support and mental health services as part of the nation’s crisis management framework.

Under the agreement, registered counsellors under LKM will be mobilised to provide early intervention, psychosocial support and counselling services to individuals affected by emergency incidents or disasters. The initiative is expected to further enhance the availability of professional mental health assistance during critical situations.

The partnership complements KPWKM’s ongoing efforts to expand access to mental health support services through various platforms, including counselling services and the 24-hour Talian Kasih 15999 helpline.
