KUCHING, 18 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) 2026 Working Committee has conducted a post-mortem review of this year’s Malaysia Day celebration to identify improvements for future national events.
The meeting in Kuching was jointly chaired by Communications Ministry Secretary-General and HKHM 2026 Working Committee Chairman Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah; Protocol, Ceremonial and Event Management Unit Director Datu Hamdan Haji Sharbini; and Sabah Ceremonial and Protocol Director Syahrin Samsir.
The review assessed the overall implementation of the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration, covering management, coordination, protocol and programme execution.
It also focused on identifying areas for improvement to ensure future celebrations can be organised in a more systematic, smooth and effective manner.

Also present was Senior Undersecretary (Management) and HKHM 2026 Working Committee Secretary Datuk Aminurrahim Mohamed.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Communications Ministry, the post-mortem was held following the conclusion of the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration to evaluate its overall implementation and strengthen preparations for future events. – The Capital Post
